Had Benson’s HVAC for. Few years biannual inspection and no one ever said a word to us about our rusted out drip pan now we might have to replace our downstairs ceiling. They don’t care like they use to workers don’t care either. Will never use them again and don’t recommend this company either!!!

I came home to Tallahassee on Sunday night to find the AC system in the house not working. I called Benson's Monday morning and was told that they could could come by on Tuesday. Monday afternoon they called and said they had a cancellation and sent Casey McComas out at about 5:30 pm. It took Casey about 30 seconds to correctly diagnose the problem. It wasn't the HVAC system but the transfer module from the backup generator. In 5 minutes he had safely bypassed the module without damage to either system. when we started up the unit the breaker between the air handler and the module went bad. It took Casey another 5 minutes to replace it with one he had on his truck. Once everything was running he took the time to check the rest of the system to be sure there were no hidden problems. Keep in mind that it was already past 6 pm now and he'd already put in a full day. Add to that the fact that I was looking over his shoulder the whole time which he didn't mind. I'm an old service technician in another field and I will tell you that it is really rare to see a young person with the kind of knowledge and professionalism that Mr. McComas showed that afternoon. Oh, and I should mention that the service call was dirt cheap even with the new breaker considering that it was after normal business hours. Thank you Benson's and Casey. You came through when I needed it.

Although both technicians seemed well informed, neither was able to suggest a resolution to problem I was having.I was unable to stay in my bed room because I developed itching in my eyes, and numbness in my fingers, mouth,, and nose. The same occurred in my family room, but only periodically. The only advice the tech has was to do a total replacement of the duçt system--to the tune of $8000.00--!The.second tech did an OK job,though he ommited reapplying the rope which allows access to attic via a pulldown door in the garage. My housekeeper and I figured out a way to lessen problem by closing if cool air fans coming. In to these areas. Note I said LESSEN.

On our 6 mo check up it was identified that we would be needing a new capacitor and one was ordered. Shortly after the check up the ac was not cooling. We called Benson's back and they came out. Fixed the issue, and ordered the new part. We are grateful. We have family visiting and 80 degrees is not comfortable. Thank you Benson's for your prompt service.

My AC stopped cooling at the beginning of this current heat wave. I had to wait almost a week for my appointment which is understandable in light of the number of calls I'm sure the company has recently received. Chris Dean was the technician who did the work on my unit and I couldn't be more pleased with his knowledge, professionalism, promptness and caring attitude. By limiting the time we are inside your home, we help each other! The next time you need service from Benson’s, follow the procedure below. This will ensure the time your technician is at your house is well-spent!
Verify the breaker is on to the AC unit. ***Note*** If the panel is outside and unlocked, our technician will check it.
Make sure the batteries are new in the thermostat.
Turn the air conditioning on at the switch for all thermostats (if more than one is in use).
Move the temperature down 5 degrees to keep the unit operating.
Check all vents to verify that they are open and have good airflow.
Check the air filter and remove and replace as necessary. If you are not able to accomplish this, please let us know ahead of time.
After 10 to 15 minutes of operation, make sure the air is starting to feel cold.
After the technician is finished, reset the thermostat back to its normal setting.
