05/06/2026- I arrived on site and found the contactor for condenser #1 pulled in but not letting the voltage through it. I bumped the contactor and the unit started working properly. This happened once during the maintenance visit and we don’t want a repeating issue so I gave the customer a quote for replacement of the faulty contactor. They signed off and approved it, so I will order the new one from Trane tomorrow morning and we will schedule a timeframe to install it. The unit is currently functioning and cooling properly but the issue could potentially come back until the contactor is replaced.

03/03/2026- I arrived on site to find the step down transformer burnt out due to a low voltage short and a 5 amp fuse that had blown but was still making contact. After I fixed the low voltage short and replaced the faulty fuse/transformer I tested the unit and verified that it is working properly and without issue. I have confirmed that this unit is cooling properly however I noticed that the 20x25x5 air filter is dirty and needs to be replaced. I was told that they would have the owner pick up an air filter and install it on their own. This unit is functioning properly at the time of service.

Customer said they could not adjust the thermostat setting. Found the thermostat to be in keypad lockout. I had to type in a code to remove this. The code that worked was 1234. To do this press the button in the middle, use the plus or minus button to bring the number in the middle to 1, press select. Then bring the number to 2 and press select. Do this for 3 and 4 until the 4 digit number above the thermostat displays 1234, press select one more time and it should unlock it. Removed the lock mode for the thermostat and turned off the ability to lock. The instructions above are in case the thermostat locks out again. Thank you for your business.

Upon arrival, I found the customer system not working properly due to a bad indoor motor module combo. I sent an estimate to replace the motor. The estimate was verbally approved. The motor was not in stock. I went ahead and ordered it and it’s supposed to arrive sometime tomorrow, Thursday, January 8. Other than that, the system is down and I left it turned off at the thermostat. We will call as soon as the motor arrives in our hands to schedule install .
