Removed all of the old refrigerant from the system, along with the old filter drier and TXV. Installed new TXV and filter drier and checked for leaks with a 300 PSI nitrogen charge. Diagnostic/ Indoor fan not coming on. I arrived and inspected the indoor wiring. I found that I was not getting the correct low voltage signal from thermostat to allow the blower motor to turn on. I jumped G to Y and got the indoor fan to run whenever there is a call for cool at the condenser. Recovered refrigerant from the system, removed old TXV and filter drier, installed new TXV and filter drier, pressure tested the system with 330 pounds of nitrogen and found no leaks. Pulled a deep vacuum under 500 microns and weighed the recovered charge back into the system. Found the high side pressure topping out at 430 PSI on a long heating run, a drastic improvement from the 620 PSI caused by the bad TXV. The system is heating and cooling properly at this time. Customer called in requesting service at the Bainbridge Goodwill. They were concerned about the system not cooling properly. Upfront and in the back loading area. No after arriving today I spoke with employee about their concerns. She informed me that the system was having intermittent issues somedays it would cool better than others. They would like for us to check over both units to make sure they were running properly. I began with the York unit and checked the Blower motor, outdoor fan, compressor as well as the electrical components that system is in working order. I did not find any areas of concern. I then moved to the Daikin system and checked the compressors outdoor fans and blower motor. I checked the evaporator coil and condenser coil and found the source for the concerns. The coils both evaporator coil and condenser coils need to be cleaned. The dirty coils are the reason why the system is not cooling as it should.
