I was able to locate the correct Heat strips for the York rooftop unit they are 14kw 480v and we should have the first of the week. I returned today to complete the repair work on the York rooftop straight cool system. I installed the new 14kw Heat Strips and verified that they were working after installation. Recovered refrigerant from the system, removed old TXV and filter drier, installed new TXV and filter drier, pressure tested the system with 330 pounds of nitrogen and found no leaks. Pulled a deep vacuum under 500 microns and weighed the recovered charge back into the system. Found the high side pressure topping out at 430 PSI on a long heating run, a drastic improvement from the 620 PSI caused by the bad TXV. The system is heating and cooling properly at this time. Customer called in requesting service at the Bainbridge Goodwill. They were concerned about the system not cooling properly. Upfront and in the back loading area. No after arriving today I spoke with employee about their concerns. She informed me that the system was having intermittent issues somedays it would cool better than others. They would like for us to check over both units to make sure they were running properly. I began with the York unit and checked the Blower motor, outdoor fan, compressor as well as the electrical components that system is in working order. I did not find any areas of concern. I then moved to the Daikin system and checked the compressors outdoor fans and blower motor. I checked the evaporator coil and condenser coil and found the source for the concerns. The coils both evaporator coil and condenser coils need to be cleaned. The dirty coils are the reason why the system is not cooling as it should. Managers house- found the compressor not coming on due to a faulty dual run capacitor in the package unit. I replaced the capacitor with a new one and the system came on. I tested system operation, component amperage’s, and thermostat functions. The system is now working properly at this time. Billable. Sent proposal to add this location to the maintenance agreement for River Ridge.

Returned today 12/16/22 to complete the repair on the Amana system. I removed the old evaporator coil and filter dryer. I installed the new filter dryer and evaporator coil. Once all new parts were installed, I pressure tested the system with 350 psi of nitrogen, the system held the charge for 30 minutes. I then pulled a deep vacuum down to 500 microns. I charged the system to factory specs. I then verified the temperature split. The system is operating properly at this time in both heating and cooling modes. Thank you for your business today.
