Today I arrived on site to perform a tune-up on your HVAC system. **Air Handler (AH) Service** * Located the AH in the closet. * Replaced the 16x20x1 pleated 1" filter with a customer-provided spare. * Inspected the indoor coil; it is fair and clean. * Tested the blower motor, compressor, compressor run capacitor, fan run capacitor, contactor, and electrical wiring; all are working within specifications. * Inspected the blower wheel, primary drain pan, and secured electrical wires; all are in good condition. * Cleared the condensate drain line, cleaned the primary pan, and tested the safety switch. * Confirmed the drain line is strapped. * Measured return air temperature at 78.0°F and supply air temperature at 58.0°F. **Heat Pump (HP) Service** * Located the HP on the side of the house. * Inspected the outdoor coil; it is fair and clean. * Tested the condenser fan motor; it is working within specifications. **Additional Actions** * Dusted the thermostat. *

I found a faulty dual run capacitor in the Trane condenser for the addition and replaced it with a new dual run capacitor today. The new capacitor comes with a 5 year parts and 1 year labor warranty.
