05/19/2026- I arrived on site to find the unit without high voltage due to a faulty contactor in the Genarac box in circuit with this unit. I didn’t have a contactor on my truck to replace this part, so I informed the customer to contact whichever company handles their Generator to fix this issue. However I did bypass the faulty component in the Genarac box to get the customer cooling in the meantime. The AC unit itself is amping out properly and cooling without issue now that it is receiving high voltage.

Kept me apprised and in the loop as soon as I requested service using the online service. Even called me on Sunday! Raymond was very professional and had me up and running in a short time.
They did a great job.
Brendon was very personable and knowledgeable. Very efficient and done a great job with the service.
The tech was very thorough and explained each step he took in the maintenance process. He showed me readings on the tool for the part “battery” he replaced at my request. Aidan was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. Good experience with him. He arrived early after calling to check if it was ok to arrive 15 minutes early. Considerate of customers wishes.
Great Service
They arrived on time and explained what they were going to do. They were very polite and thorough.
I was very impressed with the technician who performed my service: Brenden Noble. Throughout the years that Bensons has been my Heating/AC company, I have had numerous technicians, but I would rate Brenden as one of the best. He was very professional, explained exactly what he was doing and the service he was providing, and was knowledgeable and pleasant. I would like to request that he do my 6 months assessments in the future.
Always excellent service!!!!!
He performed a very professional job.
Benson's have many good workers who complete their work very well. This chilly day, we watched as Shemai'ah Grooms checked the active and health of our heat and cooling machines. When we asked questions, he gave us clear answers, and we enjoyed the clear and helpful information that he shared as he finished his work. We thank Benson's for sending such a good and pleasant person like Shemai'ah Grooms!
Lee is very sociable and friendly. I got the impression she is still new with Benson's, but she was very conscientious about her service. She may have taken more time than other more experienced techs have, but in my opinion she did a thorough job. I had no issues with her at all.
It is refreshing to see a company such as Benson hiring women. Tiara and her coworker efficient, professional and extremely polite. They cleaned up after themselves. Both Benson employees were a joy. Refreshing to see employees whose smiles are genuine and not forced.
Lee is the best
All went well
Please send Tiara back for my next inspection. She was thorough and professional.
Did a great job
Josh is always very professional. He has provided great service for a couple of years now and I hope I can keep him as my A/C technician. He answers all my questions and gives me advice on things I can do to get the most out of my unit.
Great Service
Fine service. Friendly, professional, competent.
Great service!
Had to have your tech come out a month before my scheduled 6 month cleaning due to the drain line being clogged. I was charged a service fee; For all I know the line was not cleared on the previous visit. I don't agree with the any fee charged as regular cleaning should be enough to prevent this AND you could have just considered this my 6 month cleaning as it was very close to that time anyway.
The two young men introduced themselves and explained very clearly what they would be doing. They answered our questions, and gave a very well focused description of their work and the situation of the Heat Pump and other components. Their visit was excellent.
Havana, FL, HVAC Company FAQs
A home HVAC system should be serviced at least twice a year in Havana, FL. For the best results, you should have your HVAC system serviced once in the fall and once in the spring, right before the peak heating and cooling seasons. Getting your HVAC unit maintenance before these peak months will help you spot any issues with your HVAC system and help it run efficiently all year long.
It costs about $350-$600 to repair your home HVAC system in Havana, FL. The overall cost of the repair can vary depending on:
- The kind of repair
- The level of the repair
- The cost for replacement parts
The cost can also increase if you need the repair done on the weekend or after hours, since contractors usually have higher hourly rates during those times.
Your home air conditioner may not be turning on in Havana, FL because:
- Your air filter is dirty or clogged
- The circuit breaker to your AC unit has tripped
- Your thermostat is set incorrectly
Another reason your air conditioner may not be turning on is if your air conditioner’s thermostat is malfunctioning, broken or requires new batteries. If you check and fix all of these potential issues and your air conditioner still won’t turn on, you should have an HVAC technician repair your air conditioner.
The best way to improve your indoor air quality in your Havana, FL home is to reduce the sources of pollution. However, that is not always possible since cooking and other daily activities can cause pollution in your home. If you are unable to remove most sources of indoor air pollution, the next best option is to use your bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans. Additionally, cleaning your home can also be helpful in reducing the dust and dirt that can contribute to poor indoor air quality.
