Quincy HVAC FAQs

Should I repair or replace my HVAC system in Quincy, FL?

A few reasons you may want to replace your HVAC system rather than repair it include:

  • Your HVAC system is over 10 years old and breaks down often
  • Your HVAC system requires repairs frequently
  • Your HVAC system doesn't heat and cool your home effectively

Another sign you should replace your HVAC system is if your energy bills have increased dramatically. However, if your HVAC system is fairly new and the cost to repair it is less than half the cost to replace it, then it may be more cost-effective to have it repaired.

How can I improve indoor air quality in my Quincy, FL home?

To improve your indoor air quality in your home, you can do the following:

  • Clean your house often
  • Replace your HVAC unit’s air filter
  • Use your ventilation systems
  • Purchase an air purifier

If you notice a large amount of dust in your home’s air, you can also get your air ducts inspected and cleaned to ensure that they are not contributing to your indoor air quality problem.

How much does it cost to replace a central air conditioning unit near Quincy, FL?

It costs around $3,000-$7,000 to replace a central air conditioning unit in Quincy, FL. However, the cost can fluctuate depending on:

  • The size of your house
  • The type of central air conditioning unit you want installed
  • The cost to remove the current AC unit and install the new unit

Getting your central air conditioning system replaced can be costly, but will save you money on repairs and energy costs each year.

07/13/2026- I arrived on site to find the unit satisfied at 76 degrees. I preformed a full daignosic and found no issues at this time. The unit is functioning properly, all electrical equipment is within specifications, and the unit is cooling properly with a 19 degree temperature split. I informed the customer that what is most likely occurring is this is an old house and hot air is likely leaking into the house. This is making the unit hit its maximum cooling capacity during this hot weather, and why this unit has no issues whatsoever when it’s not extremely hot outside. I informed the customer that the unit is currently cooling properly and to contact us if she has any issues.

On arrival I found a customer system not cooling properly due to the condenser fan motor over ramping I’m going off on thermal overload. The customer had the system off when I arrived so everything came on and started cooling properly, but then I noticed a condenser motor to be over ming it was rated for .5A and it was bouncing back-and-forth between .6A and .7A I sent the customer an estimate to change the condenser fan motor and contactor. The contactor is functioning properly, but I recommend changing it with the condenser fan motor due to the wear and tear put on it over the years. The system is on and cooling at this time. I highly recommend getting the motor replaced as soon as possible .

Performed tune up on your Goodman furnace and AC system. Cleared drain line, checked all electrical components, and rinsed condenser. Checked out the loud noise coming from air handler. It appears to be the bearings failing on the blower motor. This was causing a loud noise to come from the furnace when the blower was running. Estimate is attached to replace both the blower motor and blower wheel. The furnace is not under warranty as it was not replaced with the coil and condenser. Thank you for your business.
