Monticello, FL, HVAC Company FAQs
An HVAC tune-up typically includes the following in Monticello, FL:
- A cleaning of your HVAC unit
- An inspection of your HVAC unit
- A lubrication of your HVAC unit’s parts
- A replacement of your air filter
Getting your HVAC unit tuned up has many advantages because it keeps your system running smoothly and helps your energy costs stay low. To get the most out of servicing your HVAC unit, you should have it tuned up twice a year.
A home air conditioning unit recharge should cost around $350-$1,200. Some things that can impact the price of the recharge are:
- How severe the leak is
- How much refrigerant needs to be recharged
- The type of refrigerant your AC unit uses
If your leak is severe and your AC unit still uses the refrigerant R22, the cost of the repair will be on the higher end of the range. Since R22 has been discontinued, it is harder and more expensive to obtain.
To get the cleanest indoor air for your Monticello, FL home you should:
- Clean your home on a regular basis

Professional job.
Diagnostic/ system not cooling. Upon arrival I found the thermostat not calling for cool but the blower motor was still running. Found a 3 flash error code on the air handler control board for the A2L sensor detecting a refrigerant leak or the sensor is bad. I hooked up my gauges to check the standing refrigerant pressure and found the standing pressure is good. I found the A2L sensor is bad along with the board. I have ordered both parts. It’s scheduled for me to return in the morning to install the parts. 6-30-2026 Returned and replaced the air handler control board and A2L sensor. Fired system off afterwards and proceeded to complete the tune up. Tested system operations, checked component amperage’s, tested the thermostat, cleared the drain line, changed the air filter, and verified the coils are clean. The system is cooling properly at this time. American Standard Air Handler Model#5TEM4D04AC31SAA Serial#250454BA3V.

06/16/2026- I arrived on site and discovered the capacitor for the upstairs unit had swelled and is no longer functioning. I replaced the capacitor with truck stock and then tested the unit. The unit started working again properly and without issues. I have verified that the unit is now functioning and cooling properly at the time of service.
06/11/2026- I arrived on site to find the unit in a false lockout code. I reset power to the board which cleared the error code and I was unable to get the issue to repeat no matter how long I tested this unit. I informed the customer that the unit is working and cooling properly at this time, and to contact us if she has any further issues with the system. Condenser M# 4TWR4036G1000AB S# 220117D44F
