Came out here today for no cooling call, air handler was on and condenser was on. Everything was working properly electrical wise. Hooked up my gauges and noticed my refrigerant levels were lower than usual. Went ahead and did an electronic leak search and could hear an audible hiss and refrigerant mist coming from the coil. Replace evaporator coil and TXV. pressure tested at 350psi for 20 minutes and checked for leaks, system on a deep vacuum down to 400 µm and added factory charge. Everything is working/cooling properly at this time.

07/03/2026- I arrived on site and the customer wanted me to adjust her dampers because she had one room that was getting too cold and her room was a little too hot. I adjusted the airflow dampers for both of those areas and verified that the warmer room is getting better airflow and the colder room is still getting good airflow, but just a little less than before. I informed the customer to keep an eye on the areas and to contact us if she has any issues with the airflow. I have verified that the unit is functioning properly and cooling properly at the time of service.

07/03/2026- I arrived on site to find the 3 amp glass fuse blown due to an internal low voltage short in the thermostat. I replaced the glass fuse with a 3 amp blade fuse and replaced the faulty thermostat with truck stock. After the installation of the new equipment I tested the unit and verified that it is functioning correctly in every mode of operation. I have confirmed that this unit is functioning and cooling properly at the time of service.

Upon arrival, I found the customer system not cooling properly due to a bad dual run capacitor in the condenser. I sent an estimate to replace the capacitor. The estimate was approved. After installing the new capacitor, I tested your system operations. Your system is cooling properly at this time. However, the system is almost 30 years old and I highly recommend a new system installed the customer agreed and wants a proposal with the options on a new system install I will get one sent via email ASAP. .

Diagnostic / system not cooling customer complaint was that upstairs not cooling. Check both supply vents in bedroom put my thermometer In both vent they were reading 59 & 60. Showing that air is coming through. Thermostat may have gone back to a schedule once customer changed temp. Left thermostat on 73 on a permanent hold will do a follow up tomorrow afternoon.
