Upon arrival, I found the customers Amana heat pump split system not cooling properly due to a couple issues the main issue being a low refrigerant charge. After finding the system low, I performed an electronic leak search to find the compressor leaking where the discharge line goes into the compressor. I also found a completely plugged evaporator coil. The system is almost 15 years old. I highly recommend saving the repair money and putting it towards a new system with a warranty. The customer was also interested in options on a new system so I emailed a proposal with options on a new system install as well and that’s what I highly recommend going with. I left the system just like it was when I arrived.
