Found the system to be low on charge. I added 3 pounds of R-410A refrigerant to get the system working properly. I performed an electronic leak search on the evaporator coil and copper lines but was unable to pin point a leak at the time. The system is now working properly at this time.
Today I performed a winter time maintenance on your HVAC equipment. Overall everything looked to be in fair to poor condition. I started off checking the difference in temperature between supply and return air. I observed a return air temp of 70° while supply air was 59°F. This is a low temperature split for the efficiency rating of your unit, which tells me there’s something going wrong. The indoor conditioning (evaporator) coil was relatively clean considering the age, but in poor condition. I checked the operation of the compressor, condenser fan and their respective capacitor. Everything was within manufacturer specifications. Pressures looked low, I couldn’t read subcool and superheat due to there being no access to the compressor aside from the top where the fan is. I finished up treating the drain with chemical to prevent a clog. I have scheduled a service and new unit quote appointment for you on Monday 2/23/25. Thank you for choosing
Today I performed a winter time tune up on your HVAC equipment. I started off checking the difference in temperature between supply and return air. I observed a return of 72° while supply air was 55°F. The filter is good to go for another couple months. Outside I checked the operation of the compressor, condenser fan and their respective capacitor. Everything was within manufacturer specifications. The condenser coil was hosed out today. I finished up treating the drain with chemical to prevent a clog. Thank you for choosing
Today I performed a winter time maintenance on your HVAC equipment. Overall everything looked to be in good condition. I started off checking the difference in temperature between supply and return air. I observed a return of 72° while supply was 53°F. Right where we want it. Outside I checked the operation of the compressor, condenser fan and their respective capacitor. Everything was within manufacturer specifications. The condenser coil was washed out with water only. I finished up clearing the drain using the wet vac. Once I was sure the drain was clear I treated the assembly with Viper drain treatment. Thank you for choosing

Customer was experiencing loud airflow. Found the filter to be dirty causing the unit to work harder to pull air through the filter. When I removed the filter I saw a plastic tub fall which leads me to believe the thumping may have been caused by the plastic tub bouncing around due to the airflow. Thank you for your business.

Jeremy did an outstanding job on communicating my issues with the system and my options to get it repaired. I highly recommend Jeremy and Bensons
Upon arrival, I found the customer’s heat pump split system not working properly due to a low refrigerant charge. I performed an electronic leak search to find the evaporator coil leaking while performing the leak search. I also noticed the indoor blower motor to be running constantly with no call for it. After further inspecting that I found a bad indoor blower control board. I sent an estimate via email to the customer to replace the evaporator coil and indoor blower control board. The customer approved the estimate. As of now, it is scheduled for first call Thursday morning to be installed. We should be here between 830 and 10 o’clock in the morning to get started. We will call when we are on the way. I left the system, how it was when I arrived.
